Fade in / Fade out Audio in Video with iMovie 
Launch iMovie and import iMovie project.
Launch iMovie and import your project. Then double-click the video clip on Project Library.

Audio Setting
On the pop-up Inspector window, click "Audio". Then you can easily set the fade in / fade of audio in video. Besides, it's also available to mute the video.

If the time-line is combine with two seperated audio and video, and want to set fade in / fade out of the audio. You need to double click audio clip, and do the same setting.
