How can i record videos of my computer screen?

Hi, I bought a video on amazon video on demand. I need a specific scene from it so I was going to use windows movie maker on the downloaded copy. It is in WMV format, but it is copy protected. So what I am trying to do is record my screen and then play the video. If anyone knows of a software that can do this, it would be very helpful. Also, If anyone knows of a software that would allow me to just remove the copy protection from the video, it would be very helpful. Please reply. Thanks.
